  • Thanksgiving LAST year vs. THIS year....

    HAHAHA....Look at the face

    (almost 3 months old)

Walking around while waiting for Thanksgiving dinner...

    (almost 15 months old)

I can't believe how much he has grown... So, on Thursday Michael and I made a walk to Wal-Mart to look at a training potty. I broke down a purchased one. I know to many of you it may seem early, but I mainly got to to help him get used to it. And so far he has peed in it 4 times!! Once on Thursday night and 3 TIMES today! Friday was a busy day making sure the house was clean before we left for the weekend, so I didn't worry about placing him on it that day...and like I said we were away from the house the whole weekend. But today I placed him on the potty to see if he would try and sure enough after sitting there for 15-20 minutes he went pee...lol he started getting up I told him to wait and go pee. Well, he got mad and stood up anyway, and sure enough he had ALREADY gone pee..lol silly boy! And tonight I placed him on the potty before his bath and it only took him 3-5 minutes to pee. After his bath, he must have peed right when I placed him on the potty, because he sat there for 2-3 minutes and peed more than the time before the bath.

The reason I decided to place him on the potty before and after bath tonight...he has been peeing in the tub during bath, and I thought maybe we could try having him go pee in his potty before he went in his bath.

I'm happy to say, "He went pee in his potty 3 TIMES!! 3 TIMES!!"

Here is an update on our little family:
If you haven't kept up with my facebook status I will give you an update on what I have been up to the past few months. As many of you may know I have been working on completing my permanent residence paperwork. As of last week there is nothing left for ME to do in order to complete it. It is now in the hands of the Canada Government. I pray the waiting period won't be long, because it will be nice to be able to see my family and friends just across the boarder in the US. I miss everyone so much!

My finger print results came in and all I had left to do was wait for my passport to be mailed to me, so I could send them the last of everything. I'm so glad that now all I have to do is wait for that letter saying the last amount of the money I owe to get my permanent residence card is due....PRAISE THE LORD! I am a LOT closer to getting this done this time. Continue to pray...last time I had a medical exam done Canada Immigration NEVER got my results, so I am still a little nervous about that part. Once I have heard they have gotten the results I will be able to breath easier and get Ontario Health Insurance Plan (OHIP), so when I do get sick it won't cost us an arm and a leg.

I can't say that once I get OHIP that we will begin to try for a second. I feel we would like to be a little better off financially and I see a way I could help with that once I can work in Canada. I'm excited about just being ABLE to work here.

So, I hope this update made sense...I am listening to music while posting, because I seem to have a hard time focusing today. I may come back a edit it later to double check and make sure I put everything I wanted to place in the post.

  • Teeth #5 (on August 14th) - #6 (TODAY!) have finally made an appearance and quite an adventure too. *An update more so for my records*

Michael is just not himself when he is teething. He throws tantrums and screaming whenever about whatever. I just never know what will make him scream or throw a tantrum. Thankfully we still have some good days and he sleeps through the night like always. During the day is a completely different thing tho...I guess that is when the teething hurts him the most...Poor little guy!

I don't know if I have given you an update on our financial situation.

Praise the Lord for providing!!! He may not have done it in the way I thought He would, but things are working out well. We had our pastor come over for a visit this past Tuesday to look over what our main needs are at the time. He said he would do what he can to help us. We received an envelope with a blessing inside. PRAISE THE LORD!!! It held gift cards for groceries and baby items needed for the month.

I LOVE my church! We are going to work harder at being more involved at best we can. As of right now we don't have a insured car, so we will not be driving it until we can get the repairs done on it and insured. Thankfully there are many people who attend the same church who all live in the same area. I don't think we will have a hard time finding a ride to church and stay plugged in until the time comes when our car works and is insured once again. All in the Lord's timing...I am finding trusting in Him to be much more peaceful, than stressing out on things I have no control over. We can only do the best we can and place everything in the Lord's hands.

A new photo of my little guy...He it growing up so FAST!

We had a play date for the first time with one of his church friends. They played in Lee's backyard and had SO MUCH FUN! I will try to get pictures of our coming play dates.

The cool part is Lee's mom was born in the Philippines TOO! We are also the same AGE! I'm excited to find out where and when she was born.

More of an update to come...I would like to update more often. What types of updates would you like? I have realized I update more on what Michael is doing and not so much on life...please let me know what you would like more of an update on. I will still make updates on the other tho  I just don't want to leave anything out!

  • When the Lord closes one door He opens another...

We have been facing some hard times lately and the Lord has been guiding us through every step. Finances has been the hardest part. I made a couple calls to see what we could do about rent this month, and it looks like we will be able to get through this part. We still have a couple other needs, but now I see some light at the end of the tunnel of this trial.

Thankfully through all this we have family and friends lifting us up in prayer. Also we have found ourselves a church home and falling before the Lord each week has been how we have been making it through without giving up completely. Today, our pastor will be coming over to help us figure things out on how we can get caught up and cover every need we have.

My paperwork is coming along...got the medical exam and finger prints done. We will need to find a way to get the passport stuff taken care of as well ASAP. Again we need LOTS of prayer regarding finances coming in for that as well.

Chris has put together a resume for GameStop to bring in more money to cover bills. He wishes he didn't have to do this, but anything to get us out of this situation and planning ahead for the future of our family. I love Chris so much!

Well, I hope this update made sense...my mind is everywhere right now. So much on my mind...I just don't think it would all make sense to me even. LOL!

Thank  you all for prayer! We can feel the presence of the Lord every day. I also think the Lord is working in Chris and I's heart toward ministry again. I will keep you updated on where we feel the Lord leading us.

The Rainbow was just outside our balcony window...it was amazing how detailed it really was. WOW! The Lord wanted us to know He is watching over us. Do you see all the colors?
